How to do it

  1. Stand with your feet hip width, hands behind your head and a soft bend in your knees.
  2. Brace your core and keep your back flat from your head to your tailbone.
  3. Push your hips straight back and let your torso tip forward until you feel a stretch in your hamstrings.
  4. Squeeze your glutes to drive your hips forward and stand back up tall.

Coaching cues

  • Your back stays flat the whole time, stop tipping the moment it wants to round.
  • Think about pushing your hips back toward a wall behind you rather than bending down.
