How to do it

  1. Kneel on a mat with your big toes together and your knees about hip width apart.
  2. Sit your hips back toward your heels and walk your hands forward on the mat.
  3. Let your chest sink toward the floor and rest your forehead down.
  4. Breathe slowly into your back for the set time, then walk your hands back to sit up.

Coaching cues

  • Widen your knees to give your belly and hips more room.
  • Put a cushion between your heels and hips if the position pinches your knees.
