Pull-up bar
How to do it
- Hang from a bar with an underhand grip about shoulder width and your arms straight.
- Set your shoulder blades down and back before you bend your elbows.
- Pull your chest toward the bar until your chin clears it.
- Lower under control all the way back to straight arms.
Coaching cues
- Keep your ribs down so you do not swing your hips to get up.
- Pause for a moment at the top to build control at the hardest point.
