How to do it
- Stand tall with your feet hip width and your hands at your chest.
- Step one foot diagonally back and across behind the other, like a curtsy.
- Bend both knees to lower until the front thigh is close to parallel with the floor.
- Push through the front foot to stand back up, then alternate sides.
Coaching cues
- Keep your hips facing forward instead of twisting toward the stepping leg.
- Keep the front knee tracking over the toes rather than caving inward.
