How to do it

  1. Lie on your back with your arms straight up over your shoulders and your knees bent above your hips.
  2. Press your lower back gently into the floor and keep it there for every rep.
  3. Slowly lower one arm overhead and the opposite leg toward the floor without touching down.
  4. Return to the start under control and repeat with the other pair.

Coaching cues

  • The moment your lower back lifts off the floor, shorten the reach.
  • Breathe out slowly as you extend, that helps keep your ribs down.
