How to do it
- Stand under a solid door frame and reach up to grip the top edge with both hands.
- Stand tall with your ribs down, your core braced and your feet flat on the floor.
- Pull down hard on the frame as if you were starting a pull-up, keeping your feet on the ground.
- Hold the tension for the set time, breathing steadily, then release slowly.
Coaching cues
- Only use a solid frame, and keep your feet planted rather than hanging your weight on it.
- Bend your knees slightly to increase the pull, straighten them to ease off.
