How to do it

  1. Hold a dumbbell in each hand and hinge forward from the hips until your torso is about 45 degrees.
  2. Keep a neutral spine, soft knees and let your arms hang straight down.
  3. Row both dumbbells toward your waist by driving your elbows back past your ribs.
  4. Lower under control until your arms are straight again.

Coaching cues

  • Keep your neck in line with your spine and your eyes on the floor ahead.
  • Stop the set if your back starts to round rather than chasing extra reps.
