How to do it
- Lie on your back on the floor with your knees bent and a dumbbell in each hand at chest height.
- Press the dumbbells up until your arms are straight over your chest.
- Lower under control until the backs of your upper arms touch the floor.
- Pause for a moment, then press back up without bouncing off the floor.
Coaching cues
- The floor limits the range, which is useful if a full bench press bothers your shoulders.
- Keep your wrists stacked over your elbows the whole way.
