How to do it
- Stand tall with a dumbbell in each hand resting in front of your thighs, palms facing you.
- Keep a slight bend in your elbows and brace your core.
- Raise one or both arms forward until your hands reach shoulder height.
- Lower under control back to your thighs without leaning back.
Coaching cues
- Stop at shoulder height, going higher just shifts the work to your traps.
- Squeeze your glutes so your body does not rock to help the weight up.
