How to do it
- Stand tall with a dumbbell in each hand at your sides and a slight bend in your elbows.
- Lift both arms out to the sides, leading with your elbows.
- Stop when your hands reach about shoulder height and your arms make a T with your body.
- Lower slowly back to your sides without letting the weights swing.
Coaching cues
- Go light, this is a small muscle and momentum kills the effect.
- Keep your shoulders down and away from your ears the whole time.
