How to do it

  1. Lie on your back under a sturdy table and rest your heels on a chair or low box.
  2. Grip the table edge with your hands about shoulder width apart and straighten your arms.
  3. Squeeze your glutes and brace your core so your body forms one straight line.
  4. Pull your chest to the table edge, pause, then lower under control until your arms are straight.

Coaching cues

  • Check the table takes your weight first and keep your grip near its legs.
  • Lower your feet back to the floor if your hips start to sag mid set.
