Pull-up bar
How to do it
- Hang from a pull-up bar with an overhand grip and your shoulders pulled down slightly.
- Brace your core and keep your legs straight and together.
- Lift your legs until they are at least parallel to the floor, curling your hips up at the top.
- Lower slowly under control without swinging into the next rep.
Coaching cues
- Bend your knees slightly if you cannot control straight legs yet.
- Slow lowering is where the strength is built, so resist the drop.
