How to do it
- Place your hands slightly wider than your shoulders on a sturdy counter, table or step.
- Walk your feet back until your body is one straight line from heels to head.
- Lower your chest to the edge with your elbows tracking about 45 degrees from your ribs.
- Press back to straight arms without shrugging your shoulders toward your ears.
Coaching cues
- The lower the surface, the harder it gets, so drop one step at a time as you get stronger.
- Keep your neck long and look at the surface rather than up at the ceiling.
