How to do it

  1. Lie on your back with your knees bent and a kettlebell racked against the back of each forearm at chest height.
  2. Keep your wrists straight so the bells sit over your forearm bones, not bent back.
  3. Press the bells straight up until your arms are locked out over your shoulders.
  4. Lower under control until the backs of your upper arms touch the floor.

Coaching cues

  • Grip the handles hard, a tight fist keeps the wrist straight.
  • Press one arm at a time if you want to add a trunk stability challenge.
