How to do it

  1. Rack one or two kettlebells on your shoulders with your elbows tucked and wrists straight.
  2. Stand tall with your feet hip width and brace your core.
  3. Step one foot straight back and lower until both knees are bent to about 90 degrees.
  4. Drive through the front foot to stand back up, then alternate legs.

Coaching cues

  • Keep your ribs down, the front load will pull you into a back arch if you let it.
  • Start with one bell held on one shoulder to learn the balance.
