How to do it

  1. Stand next to a kettlebell, hinge down with a flat back and pick it up in one hand.
  2. Stand tall with the bell hanging at your side and your shoulders level.
  3. Walk forward with controlled steps, resisting the pull toward the loaded side.
  4. Walk for half the set time, then swap hands and walk back.

Coaching cues

  • Keep both shoulders and hips level, the goal is to look unloaded from the front.
  • Brace your core as if someone were about to poke your side.
