How to do it
- Lie on your back with your legs straight and your hands under your hips or at your sides.
- Press your lower back into the floor and keep it there throughout.
- Lift both legs to about 90 degrees, keeping them straight but not locked.
- Lower slowly until they hover just above the floor, then repeat.
Coaching cues
- Bend your knees to shorten the lever if your back lifts off the floor.
- Stop lowering at the point where you can still keep your back flat.
