How to do it
- Sit on the floor with your knees bent and heels down, holding a medicine ball at your chest.
- Lean back to about 45 degrees with a flat back and lift your chest.
- Rotate your ribs and shoulders to move the ball toward one hip and tap it down beside you.
- Rotate smoothly to the other side and keep alternating for the set.
Coaching cues
- Turn your shoulders and ribs, not just your arms.
- Keep your back flat, if it rounds sit more upright or use a lighter ball.
