How to do it

  1. Start in a high plank with your hands under your shoulders and feet a little wider than usual.
  2. Squeeze your glutes and brace your core so your body is one straight line.
  3. Lift one hand and tap the opposite shoulder without letting your hips twist.
  4. Return the hand to the floor and repeat on the other side.

Coaching cues

  • Widen your feet for a more stable base if your hips rock.
  • Move slowly and pause with the hand on the shoulder for a beat.
