How to do it

  1. Start in a high plank with your hands under your shoulders and your feet about hip width apart.
  2. Brace your core and squeeze your glutes so your body is one straight line.
  3. Lower your chest toward the floor with your elbows about 45 degrees from your ribs.
  4. Press back to the start and lock out without shrugging or letting your hips sag.

Coaching cues

  • Keep your ribs down and glutes squeezed so your hips do not sag.
  • End the set when your form breaks rather than grinding out sloppy reps.
