How to do it

  1. Anchor a band above head height and kneel far enough back that the band is taut with your arms overhead.
  2. Sit tall on your heels with your ribs down and your core braced.
  3. Pull the band down to your collarbones by driving your elbows down and back.
  4. Return overhead under control without letting the band snap your arms up.

Coaching cues

  • Kneel further back or use a stronger band for more tension.
  • Keep your torso upright, do not lean back to finish the pull.
