How to do it
- Stand on the middle of a band with your feet hip width apart and hold a handle in each hand.
- Bring your hands to shoulder height with your palms facing forward and the band taut.
- Press straight overhead until your arms are locked out.
- Lower under control back to shoulder height without letting the band snap you down.
Coaching cues
- Stand on more of the band or use a wider stance for extra tension.
- Keep your ribs down so you are not arching your lower back to press.
