How to do it

  1. Lie face down with your arms stretched overhead and your legs straight.
  2. Tuck your chin so your neck stays in line with your spine.
  3. Lift your arms, chest and legs a few inches off the floor by squeezing your glutes and back.
  4. Hold for a second, then lower everything under control.

Coaching cues

  • Lift only as high as feels comfortable, this is not a competition for height.
  • Keep breathing through the holds instead of straining.
