How to do it

  1. Loop a towel around both handles of a securely latched door and hold one end in each hand.
  2. Stand close with your feet either side of the door and lean back with straight arms.
  3. Pull your chest toward the door by driving your elbows back and squeezing your shoulder blades together.
  4. Lower yourself back to straight arms under control.

Coaching cues

  • Walk your feet forward and lean back further to make it harder.
  • Keep your hips up and your body in one line rather than sitting back into a squat.
