How to do it
- Stand tall with your feet hip width apart and your hands on your hips.
- Step forward with one leg and lower until both knees are bent to about 90 degrees.
- Push through the front foot to stand and bring the back foot through into the next step.
- Keep walking forward, alternating legs, for the set number of steps.
Coaching cues
- Take a long enough step that your front knee stays over your ankle, not far past your toes.
- Keep your torso tall and your eyes forward instead of looking down.
