How to do it

  1. Place your hands on the floor about 30 cm from a wall, shoulder width apart.
  2. Walk your feet up the wall until your body is close to vertical and your hips stack over your shoulders.
  3. Push the floor away, squeeze your glutes and keep your ribs down.
  4. Hold for the set time, then walk your feet back down under control.

Coaching cues

  • Start with your hips only part way up and build height over several sessions.
  • Come down straight away if your shoulders start to shake or your back arches.
