How to do it
- Step one foot forward into a long lunge with your hands on the floor inside the front foot.
- Drop your back knee toward the floor and let your hips sink to open the front of the back leg.
- Place your inside forearm toward the floor for a second, then rotate and reach that arm to the ceiling.
- Return your hand to the floor, step back and repeat on the other side.
Coaching cues
- Move slowly and breathe out as you reach into each position.
- Rest your back knee on the floor to make the position more comfortable.
